The Of Tov factory (Of Tov Products 2001), located in the town of Beit Shean, was established in 1993 by Jordan Valley agricultural settlements and was part of an abattoir operating in the area. In 1995, Osem acquired 50% of the factory through Tivol. The factory produces frozen chicken and turkey products, schnitzels, nuggets, frozen meat products, smoked meat products, pastrami, and hot dogs, etc. In 1998, Osem merged Of Tov with the Hod Lavan factory, and the new company now sells its products under two leading brand names–Of Tov and Hod Lavan.

Today, Of Tov is the largest and most advanced poultry and meat products manufacturer in its field in the entire Middle East. The company exports its products, mainly to the United States and to most European countries, and is today considered to be Israel’s largest ready meat products exporter.

Over recent years, the ready meat products field has grown markedly, and is expected to grow even more in the future. An impressive increase in the consumption of poultry products has been generated by our modern lifestyle which leaves little time for cooking, a desire to maintain good nutritional balance in a low-fat diet, and the beef crisis.
