The instant coffee which Israelis, and consumers throughout the world, love so much was invented by Nestlé in 1938, when the Brazilian Government asked Nestlé to develop a product that would, on the one hand, retain the qualities and flavor of the coffee while on the other hand, would make coffee preparation simple and convenient.

Nestlé successfully met the challenge, and the first instant coffee ever known was called Nescafé, a combination of Nestlé and the French word Café.

Today, everyone is caught up in the instant coffee culture thanks to Nescafé.  How are Nescafé products made?

The coffee beans begin their lives as flowers on the coffee plant, which after about six years bears red fruit that contain the coffee beans.
   After the beans have been removed from the fruit, they are sorted according to size and color. Because of our love for good coffee, only the best beans are selected.
  The selected beans are roasted and ground, and then transferred to large containers filled with hot water and nothing else. Eventually, the cooked coffee is completely dried and we are left with 100% instant coffee.
  This ensures that you will enjoy the flavor and aroma of every mug of the Nescafe that you enjoy so much.
